I provide a safe, confidential space where people can bring their feelings and thoughts and work at their own pace. I am supportive and compassionate while helping people see aspects of their situation they haven’t already considered, and adapt my approach to every unique individual’s particular wishes, needs, and circumstances. For example, I offer the opportunity to work creatively, look at past experiences, or how someone thinks and feels in ‘the here and now’. I have considerable experience engaging with people with diverse needs, such as ADHD, ASD and sensory processing issues as well as health conditions. In addition, I am trained to work with people who are traumatised, for example, those with PTSD. I am very well qualified, as I have a postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, obtained after a degree in Psychology. I have since completed many training courses, maintaining a high professional standard when engaging with clients in counselling sessions. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I follow their guidelines and procedures to help me do my best when working with clients.
